This Online Nurturing The Path Day builds on the skills and practices developed from the eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. Nurturing The Path Day is only open to those who have graduated from the eight-week MBSR Program.
This is a highly experiential session with various opportunities to refine and build on the practices from the MBSR program. It is designed to strengthen your personal mindfulness practice and continue to use the skills learned to navigate the demands of daily life, including stress, pain (physical or emotional), and illness.
Nurturing The Path Day will also incorporate didactic/psycho-educational components for deepening your understanding and application of mindfulness skills. This includes western and easter wisdom traditions. The Day will have an extended period of silence (with guidance throughout). The session will end with a debrief of your experience and learning’s.
- Completion of 5 out of the 9 sessions from the eight-week MBSR program.
- Completion of at least one All-Day MBSR session, either from the eight-week program or after.
- Openness for learning and interest in strengthening your existing personal practice.
This eight-week MBSR program will be facilitated by Dr. Kasim Al-Mashat. He is a Registered Psychologist and University of Massachusetts Certified MBSR Teacher and authorized Teacher Trainer by the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. He is the founder of Center For Mindfulness Canada. Kasim has also completed a six-month meditation retreat in silence in Southeast Asia and presented a TEDx about mindfulness. I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of BC. Some Extended Health plans may cover Psychologist Services. Otherwise, non-reimbursed Psychologist fees are tax deductible according to Canada Revenue Agency.
Payment Method: INTERAC e-Transfer (preferred), cheque, money order, or credit card (with additional processing fee).
Payment Options: You can contact me if you need to make a special payment arrangement.
Refund Policy: Refunds for this MBSR program are provided for cancellations made prior to the MBSR session #1 (i.e., before April 13, 2022), less a $50 processing fee. After that, no refunds or credits will be issued unless it is due to an emergency or extenuating circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.
