Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher Training Pathway

The Teacher Training Pathway is an enriching and rigorous process for those interested in teaching mindfulness as taught in the eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. The Training journey requires a formation process of trainees over time by completing not only the formal training programs and both individual and group mentoring, but also an ongoing commitment to inner work and the self-discovery.  This journey is anchored in the trainees commitment to their personal mindfulness meditation practices, process, and ethics.

Dr. Kasim Al-Mashat is fully authorized by the Mindfulness Center at Brown University to teach MBSR Teacher Trainings.  We use the MBSR teacher training curriculum developed by the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, for which we have a collaborative licensing agreement.

To maintain the highest standards of excellence and fidelity, the trainings offering through our Center For Mindfulness Canada follow the same curricula and training process developed by Brown University. Graduates from our trainings will follow the same process as Brown University.

Also, the successful completion of MBSR Training programs, such as MBSR Foundations and Teacher Advancement Intensive, are fully recognized and acknowledged by the Mindfulness Center, School of Public Health, at Brown University. Our Centre is a recognized Global Mindfulness Collaborative, which was formed in partnership with Brown University. Our trainings are also recognized by other GMCs worldwide who are offering professional training in MBSR teacher education.
